In Search Of Peace? Make Your Way To The Japanese Peace Pagoda in Darjeeling
If peace of mind is on your wishlist and you believe that positive energy can heal the universe, then you must pay a visit to the Japanese Peace Pagoda! Laid out by the Japanese monk, Nichidatsu Fujii, the Peace Pagoda is an oasis of serenity amidst the bustling city and aims at establishing world peace as far and wide as possible!
It is said that, the appearance of the Peace Pagoda purifies the land as well as the mind and soul of the people. If you go for a ‘Parikrama’ around the Pagoda, you will find the 4 avatars of Lord Buddha in sitting, standing, sleeping and meditating postures. Also, from the top you can enjoy awe-inspiring panoramic views of Darjeeling with glimpses of the Kanchenjunga Hills.
Hardly a 100 yards away from the Peace Pagoda is the Japanese Temple which you shouldn’t miss.
Peace out!
